Date Night with "Mosquito"

Save the date! In Bed with a Mosquito will be featured as part of the Museum of Modern Art’s (eek! yes! the MOMA!!!!!) annual documentary film exhibition, Documentary Fortnight. Mosquito will screen February 14 at 6 pm (yes, Valentine’s Day) alongside Our Lady Queen of Harlem, a touching short doc by my friend Trina Rodriguez. So, bring your date, or just be our date! Mosquito wins!

I’m thrilled and honored to announce that “In Bed with a Mosquito” won the top prize for doc short at last week’s inaugural CMJ CineMinis Short Film Competition in NYC. The competition was stiff, lots of incredible stories all beautifully shot. But probably the most special part of the evening was that this was Betty’s very first time seeing the film on a big screen...

The screening Thursday was a success! A packed house for me and my fellow filmmakers. Standing room only. Seriously touched. One of the best nights of my life.
